Nuclear Locator for iPhone app for iPhone and iPad

This App tells you how far you, or any location you like, are from the worlds nuclear reactors. How far is your home, property you might buy, work, your childrens school, mothers house, or any other location, from the nearest reactor and other reactors?

426 reactors in the United States, France, Japan, United Kingdom, Germany, Sweden, Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Finland, Hungary, India, Mexico, Netherlands, Pakistan, Romania, South Africa, Argentina, Armenia, Switzerland, Ukraine, Taiwan, South Korea, China and Russia are shown on interactive maps.

A red pin will appear on the interactive map for each nuclear facility. If you press a nuclear facility pin it will tell you the facilitys name and the distance from your actual or selected location in miles and kilometers, how many reactors are in the facility, its power generation level, when it went into service and, if available, when its license will expire. Distances are the shortest great circle distance.

The display is specially formatted for the iPhone. It takes advantage of the iPhone 4 high resolution screen but works fine with older models. It also works with the iPod Touch and uses the non GPS location method if available.
